Location

Intorno Firenze is a small friendly b&b in a village setting: San Piero a Sieve, 25 km from Florence, in the northern area called Mugello. The village offers restaurants, pizzerie, pubs, supermarket, shops, banks and other facilities. It's really well connected to Florence and the other small towns of the area. The guesthouse "La Terrazza" is close to the railway station, 300 metres from Intorno Firenze b&b

Getting here by train
From Florence Santa Maria Novella railway station take trains directed to Borgo San Lorenzo (San Piero a Sieve is the stop before Borgo San Lorenzo) or Faenza, most of them leave at 0.40 minute of each hour. When you get to San Piero a Sieve train station head toward Via Provinciale and you will find la Terrazza just in front of you. For Intorno Firenze b&b instead turn right and proceed along the Via Provinciale. Continue past the church on your right. At the newstand take the left turning onto Via del Pignone and again left onto Piazza Gramsci. Destination will be on the left, opposite a small public garden. It takes 6 mins walking from the station to our place (but I do it in 4 mins when late early in the morning!). The train ticket is € 3,60 one way.

By bus
From Florence you can take blue bus at Autolinee Toscane terminal (Via Santa Caterina da Siena, just off Piazza Stazione) directed to Borgo San Lorenzo or Scarperia or Barberino di Mugello (Via Vaglia), all of them stop at San Piero a Sieve. The bus ticket costs € 3,50.

By car
the nearest motorway exit is A1 Barberino di Mugello where there is a big mall named McArthurGlen just nearby. Follow directions to Borgo San Lorenzo. After 10 minutes driving you get to San Piero a Sieve, take the central road called Via Provinciale, at the newstand  on one side and a bank on the other take the small uphill road (Via del Pignone) and the first street on your left. Here you are!
